July 22, O’Fallon, MO – The 10u Bombers clicked on all cylinders Tuesday night in their 12-3 victory.
The Bombers benefited from a solid pitching performance by Patrick O., as he went the distance for his first complete game. Patrick benefited from a total team effort on defense, highlighted by an exceptional defensive relay play involving Christian P., Blake E. and Will G., to nab a baserunner at third base.
Not only was Patrick O. providing a great pitching performance, he enjoyed success at the plate with a double and also getting on base after getting hit by a pitch. Patrick finished the night with a team leading 2 RBI.
The Bombers were running early and often as they team stole over 20 bases on the evening, constantly applying pressure on the opposition.
“This was a great team effort and if we could give out 10 games balls we would, as everyone did something to help the team win tonight,” commented Head Coach Scott Kerns after the game.
The 10u Bombers are clearly headed in the right direction as the Spring / Summer season comes to a close. The boys will be back in action Thursday night at 7:45pm as they look to finish the season strong.
